Educators and school district staff play a key role in the personal lives and safety of their students. Often times, a student's safety and wellbeing relies on school staff, who come in contact with them daily. Learn about one of the most common and under-discussed youth issues: Sexual Exploitation. With our sexual exploitation adult training, school staff will learn about the different forms of sexual exploitation, current trends with the students in their community, the different forms of predators and peer driven exploitation. School district staff will walk away with a better understanding of how these issues affect their students and what they can do to help make a difference. Our Pro-D presentation provides a focus for BC sexual exploitation training, as well as a Canada wide sexual exploitation training for school districts across the nation.
Many social service providers and front line workers have youth clientele who are being sexually exploited, or at risk. These youth can go under-serviced without the proper training and education on the topic. Our Sexual Exploitation Adult Training will educate staff on the warning signs of exploited youth, current grooming tactics, recent trends, and relevant legislature and resources to help protect their clients. Staff will also have the chance to create concrete strategies for their own clients and have their personal concerns addressed.
Due to the nature of coercion, many sexually exploited youth and human trafficked victims continue to go undetected by Law Enforcement. Additionally, the challenges of being a front line worker and the limitations to work within the justice system can prove to be strong barriers both for victims and for law enforcement alike.
Our Sexual Exploitation Law Enforcement Training in Canada covers fist glance and behavioural indicators of trafficking victims, current grooming tactics, various forms of sexual exploitation and their recent trends. Additionally, relevant legislation is discussed alongside practical human rights based strategies to assist human trafficked and sexually exploited victims.
A parent's goal is the safety and health of their child. This can feel like an impossible feat in a technology heavy and peer reliant world for our children and youth. Learn about the different forms of sexual exploitation, online and in person, alongside practical tips and strategies you can use as a parent to help keep your children and youth safe from all forms of sexual exploitation. Parents will walk away having knowledge on online sexual exploitation and how they can keep their children and youth safe.

"This training has been helpful in understanding what to look for in students as a school-based worker. I appreciate the resources provided. I am feeling excited and more informed about supporting the community. The resources that SEE has given are going to be great for the school district to use next year."
"Even though I myself present to school aged children on this topic; the way in which the information was presented was new and fresh. I enjoyed the discussion and explanation of Self-Exploitation."
"The session on "The Modern Day Predator", really gave me better insight into how these predators use social media to lure our kiddos. My commitment is to learn more about social media platforms that students are using, so that I can better help them navigate the downside of technology. I am also thankful to learn about the SEE App-I downloaded the App immediately after the workshop finished!"
